Hotel Casa Maya | PLAYA el sunzal

Casa Maya is located oceanfront on El Sunzal Beach. It's on a property with extensive gardens, a pool area, and a beachfront restaurant. The property has eight twin rooms, four of which have ocean-view terraces, all with private bathrooms and air conditioning.
This property has a prime location, slightly removed from the popular tourist areas of El Tunco Beach and El Sunzal Beach, but still within walking distance. It also has access to the El Sunzal point, one of the most popular surfing waves in the country.

Here, you can expect a more private setting, away from all the bars but still just a couple of kilometers away from the tourist area. So, if you have access to a car, it's even more convenient and easy to get to any beach in the region.

The facilities could be classified as standard to premium, as the rooms are of acceptable quality, are oceanfront, and the rates are competitive. They're not the lowest for an oceanfront hotel, but they're not the highest either. It's important to note, however, that the facilities generally aren't classified as a luxury hotel, but rather as a place with a privileged location.

As for surfing, there's access to Punta del Sunzal, but you can also surf a right-hand section of acceptable quality during low tide in front of the property. Best of all, you won't find anyone in the water, as it's separated from the tourist area, so very few people seek out this part of the beach to surf.

Location Playa el sunzal

Playa El Sunzal is probably one of the most popular beaches in the entire country, located in the La Libertad area. Playa El Sunzal and Playa El Tunco are relatively in the same location. The waves are among the best. Punta del Sunzal hosts international surfing events every year.

How to get there:.

To get to the area there are several options, public bus routes such as 102A take you directly from San Salvador, there are also shuttles that take you from Antigua Guatemala, from the airport it is recommended to hire private transportation, although bus access connects three different buses it can be possible.
